1.9 km
The race starts south of Domaine des Îles. Athletes run along both banks before returning to the race village on a 1.9 km loop.

Cycling

90 km, 525 m elevation gain

A unique 90 km loop, winding through the heart of the Valais vineyards, offering a smooth and scenic route.

running

21.1 km, 30 m elevation gain
The half-marathon consists of three 7-km loops—pleasant and easy to run—along the right bank of the Rhône.

Refueling

Bicycle

  • There are two aid stations on the 90-kilometer loop: Dorénaz and Saint-Pierre-de-Clages. The organizers do not provide water bottles; athletes who wish to refill must stop and fill their own bottles.
  • Dorénaz—liquids only: water, Coke, and Enervit isotonic drink
  • Saint-Pierre-de-Clages—liquids and solids: water, Coke, Enervit isotonic drink, Enervit bars and gels, bananas


Running 

  • There are 3 aid stations per 7-km loop, at the 1.5-km, 5-km, and 7-km marks. In case of extreme heat, an additional water station will be added at the 3.5-km mark.


Relay

The Half Distance is open to teams wishing to compete in a relay.
Teams of two or three members compete in three disciplines: each member focuses on their specialty or specialties. 


Podiums and awards ceremony

Saturday, August 15, at 4:00 p.m.:

  • A prize will be awarded to the top three women and top three men in the overall ranking (scratch).
  • The top three women's relay teams and the top three men's/mixed relay teams will also receive awards.
  • The top three women and top three men in each age group will be awarded podium places.


Paralympic athletes

Paralympic athletes use the same running course as other participants.
They must therefore ensure that the course is suitable for their equipment.
